Padang

West Sumatra's largest city and provincial capital, Padang features a blend of Minang, general Indonesian and some Mentawai culture. When traveling in West Sumatra or to the Mentawai islands Padang will be the place you first arrive at and the hub for further travels. It is a great place to for a first contact with Minang culture and to try their world renowned food.

Mentawai Islands

The Mentawai's are a small island chain made up of four major and several minor islands off the Sumatran west coast. They offer great opportunities for a unique cultural experience, trekking through the jungle, surfing or simply enjoying the beach.
